New child development parenting courses in Bath
Parents and carers in Bath and North East Somerset wanting to know more about their child’s development are being encouraged to attend a free parenting course that will help develop skills to understand their children’s behaviour better.
The 10 week course, run by the Wellbeing College, will explore issues such as communication, development needs, parenting styles, behaviour difficulties and sleep for people who look after children aged 4 to 11 years old.
Sessions will start on Wednesday 6 September from 10am to 12pm at Beacon Hall, French Close, Peasedown St John, Bath, BA2 8SN and run every Wednesday week until 15 November.
Groups will not run during school holidays and each session builds on the previous so it’s important to attend as many as possible.
The first session will be an introductory morning and there will be an optional reunion upon completion of the course.
Surrinder Bains, course leader of the ‘parenting course’ being run by the Wellbeing College said: “The groups are for parents and carers who want to know more about parenting, how children develop and understand children’s behaviour better. Evaluation of previous groups has shown that parents found this group helpful, they tend to feel less anxious and their children’s behaviour improves.”
People can book their place by calling the Wellbeing College on 01225 831820.
