Overview
Assura Vertis is a partnership between 23 local GP practices and Virgin Care.
The partnership is a GP-led provider organisation which provides NHS services by combining the clinical skills and expertise of local GPs with the business and service expertise of Virgin Care. Our clinical models enable us to provide integrated care across whole pathways that deliver significant savings for commissioners and streamlined care for the patient.

Our Clinical Management Board (CMB)
The CMB is responsible for the overall running of the partnership to ensure that the best possible service is offered within the community. The CMB also assumes responsibility for clinical governance and delivery of the business plan to the day-to-day responsibility of managing and operating the partnership.

Our services
Dermatology
This service provides free consultation, advice, diagnostics and treatment from consultants, GPs with a specialist interest or specialist nurses. It is an NHS service, available free to patients and commissioned by the Worcestershire Primary Care Trust.

Musculoskeletal Service (MSK)
This service is provided in partnership with Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust. The service offers consultation, advice and treatment for patients who are suffering problems with joints, soft tissue or muscles requiring hospital treatment or if the condition can be managed with immediate treatment in the community.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a means of improving the movements of the muscles, joints and limbs. It is a diverse discipline and can be used to treat a vast range of conditions including back pain, osteoarthritis and tendonitis. This is a free service to patients.

The Kingstanding Community Practice
A full general practice service for patients with access to a range of health professionals from 8am to 8pm on Monday and Thursday; from 8am to 6:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 9am to 2pm on Saturday.

Washwood Heath Urgent Care Centre
A ”walk-in” service open from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday, 365 days per year. The centre provides urgent care services for patients with minor illnesses and injuries. Any patient can walk into the centre and receive treatment without an appointment.
