Welcome to the B&NES Tissue Viability Service

The nurses in the team provide expert advice and support to all staff on caring for patients with all types of wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot wounds, surgical wounds and fungating tumours.

More about us

We also advise on pressure ulcer prevention strategies which will include assessment, repositioning plans, equipment, documentation, dressing regimes and involvement of other specialist teams i.e. dieticians, therapists or podiatry.

The team plans and delivers a wide range of educational activities and produces guidelines relating to Tissue Viability.
