Welcome to B&NES Young People in Care Service
We are committed to providing a high quality service which has a positive effect on health outcomes for individuals and we work in partnership with the children and young people we see, their carers and other professionals.
The service supports young people in care aged 0-18 years.
More about us
The Young People in Care service is for children and young people who are in care (aged from birth to 18 years old) and their families.
Nurses, Community Paediatricians, Health Visitors and School Nurses complete health assessments with children and young people, including areas such as dental health, nutrition, growth and development, sexual health, emotional wellbeing and safety issues.
We provide a health information and advisory service to young people, their carers and professionals involved, for example their social workers.
Feedback and views from children, young people and carers is important to us and is always welcome – please get in touch!
