Welcome to Surrey Inpatient Services at Haslemere Community Hospital
Virgin Care inpatient rehabilitation units provide rehabilitation services to local residents. The service is GP led.
More about us
The inpatient service provides clinical intervention and rehabilitation for older people. Patient care is managed by multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) which include social care and community services. The aim of the inpatient service is to provide an effective and efficient episode of care to enable patients to return to their own home wherever possible.
The inpatient service operates 24 hour service 365 days per year.
Due to the nature of rehabilitation, it is important that patients are able to attend their therapy sessions, whilst also getting the rest needed to ensure a full recovery. We therefore politely ask that visitors only visit during the advertised visiting times.
Visiting times to the wards are 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 6.30pm to 8.30pm daily.
We can of course be flexible when appropriate, please discuss your needs with the ward staff, if you wish to visit outside of the published times.
This service was inspected by the Care Quality Commission in December 2013 and rated ‘good’. You can view the full report on the CQC’s site here.

The service accepts referrals from GPs and Consultants and other healthcare professionals, with the majority of patients coming directly from our local acute hospital provider. if you wish to refer to us, please contact the ward for our electronic referral form. Completed referrals should be emailed to the hospital on the email below
Once a written referral is received, it will be reviewed by the Medical team and MDT and accepted on meeting the referral criteria for the service.
