Welcome to Devon Care Effectiveness Team
The Care Effectiveness Team facilitate processes that provide clinical & care governance, reducing risk and promoting safety for Devon. We also provide assurance to the Virgin Care board and our Commissioners. Through our work we are able to help teams with the provision of evidence required by regulators.
Devon has a structure of local meetings representing our teams that feed into/inform the corporate governance meetings. These meetings are vital resource for resolving problems from our services; interpreting policy and determining local operating procedures and agreeing the detail of strategy and proposed innovation and service design.
Information from these fora is fed back to teams through the service representatives to ensure that our staff are up to date with current objectives and any changes to practice to ensure that we are providing an agreed standard of high quality care to our children/YP and their families.
The Care Effectiveness Team support the Registered Managers in the promotion of high quality service delivery, including regular quality reviews.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the Government’s health watchdog, responsible for ensuring that healthcare services registered with it provide high quality care that is safe, effective and compassionate. The CQC inspected our service in June 2017 and rated it as ‘good’. View CQC report.Download leaflet here (pdf 0.20mb)
