What happens after I am referred?
Once we have received your referral from your GP or consultant, you will be sent a letter from our Care Coordination Team requesting you call us to make an appointment that best suits you – at one of the locations listed.
What happens during my appointment?
During your appointment the clinician will examine you to assess your problem. For this examination you may be required to undress to some degree depending upon your problem, for example removal of a top for a shoulder problem. Please consider this and wear appropriate loose clothing so that you are comfortable and able to move freely during the examination. Please also bring a list of medication you are currently taking.
Bringing someone with you
You are welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment. Sometimes our staff may also request to have someone present for an appointment.
How long will the appointment take?
Each appointment is dependent on your needs so appointment times will vary, however the first appointment lasts about 45 minutes with subsequent appointments lasting approximately 20 – 30 minutes.
How do I cancel or change my appointment?
If you cannot make it to your appointment, please contact us as soon as you can, so that we can offer your valuable appointment to another patient if you are unable to attend.
The Care Coordination Centre can help you to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
