More about us

Our Clinical Training Team commission and manage core clinical training so that people within Virgin Care meet customer compliance standards. This includes assisting new starters with their induction training and all directly employed people with their refresher training.

Similarly, our Statutory and Mandatory Training Team commission core statutory and mandatory training so that staff  meet customer compliance standards. This also includes assisting new starters with their induction training and all directly employed people with their refresher training.

As well as providing training for individual staff, we provide training for new teams as they join Virgin Care – ensuring our clinical training is consistent across the organisation.

Our mission is to work with you to provide high quality education and training to meet the personal, professional and aspirational needs of the health and social care workforce. Core to this mission are the five core standards as set out in the NHS Education Outcomes Framework (2012) for all providers of NHS care. Our Vocational Training Team provides training for unqualified dental nurses on an annual basis intake from the local area.

Clinical training

Our clinical training courses support our learners with compliance by providing core (clinical) or essential training, so enabling our learners to demonstrate commitment to providing a high standard of care.

Our clinical training will meet current guidance and all legislation changes. All our training is quality assured through the University of Surrey.

Where training is delivered by external agencies, we will coordinate the selection and negotiation of contracts, manage review meetings and monitor the KPI’s throughout the life of the contract.

We continually update and review training for our learners making sure they are supported in a wide range of opportunities.

Please contact Tracy Harman for more information.

Statutory and Mandatory Training

Our Statutory and Mandatory Training Team provide core statutory and mandatory training so that our staff meet their legal requirements. This includes new starter induction training and refresher training for all directly employed staff.

Each of our students is fully inducted into their training and provided with an induction pack giving them as much information as possible about the local community.

To achieve the best possible outcome we use a variety of training methods (face-to-face and e-learning) that cater for the diverse backgrounds and different learning styles of our students.

Where training is delivered by external agencies, we will coordinate the selection and negotiation of contracts, manage review meetings and monitor the KPI’s throughout the life of the contract.

We will maintain accurate databases of learning and development activity for you, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of our staff are protected at all times.
