The Feel the Difference Awards are all about nominating someone who genuinely thinks, cares and does their bit to provide truly heartfelt service. They’re for the small stuff that we sometimes take for granted, but that means so much to the people who use our services, our colleagues and the communities we serve across England.
With a monthly award for each of our values – Strive for better, Heartfelt Service and Team Spirit – anyone (including colleagues) can nominate and a panel of people who work in our services across the country select the winner each month through a vote.
The Anchor Centre team won the Strive for Better award for its work which received Virgin Care’s first ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Beth Wellsbury, National Lead for Professional Regulation and CQC, nominated the team for “always being proactive in its internal service reviews, not afraid to ask, question and challenge its ways of working to get the outstanding rating…” Read more>>
Dr Javed Mohungoo won the Strive for Better award for introducing an innovative new service model and new technology into the North East and North Lincolnshire dermatology services. Read more>>
Joyce Wells, a Health Visitor in the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service, won the Heartfelt Service award for giving her own time to support families in need. Nominating her, colleague Rebecca Scott-Williams said Joyce had learned that Tesco donated fresh food close to its sell by date to the local community cafe at St Peter’s Hospital, Maldon, to be donated to vulnerable clients.
